R.J. Tilley Plumbing & Remodeling, Inc.

I’d like to take a moment and re-evaluate my experience with RJ Tilley. Yesterday, my review was not a fair assessment b/c I did not have all the necessary information to make certain remarks. First thing this morning, the Service Manager personally called. He was genuinely concerned about my service and initial frustration. Prior to calling, he had already addressed the situation with his staff to rectify my experience. He apologized, explained why parts were not on the truck, and informed me of the steps that have been taken to ensure their customers receive appropriate and immediate repairs when possible. Again, I cannot say enough about their customer service, professionalism, and follow up. I will be sure to call them for future plumbing needs.

Fantastic service. Called in with a plumbing emergency rather late at night and was seen that same evening by David, after trying several other local plumbers with no success. We had a blockage in our sewer line and David was able to find the issue and fix us up quickly. Trustworthy and fair pricing for an after hours call. RJ Tilley will be our go-to plumbing service for our home.

What plumber doesn’t have parts for a toilet on the truck? Luckily, R J Tilley did not. After paying the trip charge and minimum one hour of labor (when the plumber was here for a few minutes), conveniently, no parts were on the truck with the closest shop 30 mins away. The tech said he could schedule the repairs for this week. The repair estimate was 3xs the amount of BL Plumbing. Most other plumbers in the area reverse or credit the trip charge if they’re hired. I only wish I had checked prices of local companies before calling R J Tilley; however, RJ Tilley was not going to charge for a second trip to make the repairs. On the very positive side, RJ Tilley deserves five stars for their courtesy, knowledge, and professionalism. The plumber who responded was super nice, the reps on the phone were just as kind, and they texted a regular ETA with a full description of the plumber.

Tony was excellent, completed everything quickly, and for a bigger job that took most of the day, the price was extremely reasonable. We had the old copper lines that were leaking removed, new shutoffs put in, studs that had to be cut and replaced, and new fixtures for one of the bathrooms put in as well as new lines run for both. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again for any future issues!

They quoted me a price of $18,000.00 to put in a 4 foot by 3 foot tile shower. Nothing fancy, nothing special, just a nice middle of the road tile shower. Yeah, I'll be doing it myself. edit: Just spoke with the owner(?), Steve, who was a very nice guy and was extremely knowledgeable. We talked over all the costs, the how and whys. Unfortunately it's just more than I can afford. update: I had some contractors in from a competing renovation company to patch some drywall and we started talking about the shower and the quoted price. They were in shock. One gentleman who was an accomplished contractor for the last seventeen years told me flat out it shouldn't cost more than $6k-$7k (after having seen the space and measured it himself).

Although the appointment window came and went without any sort of notification from the company, a quick call helped to relieve the curiosity of if help would arrive that day. That being said, the technician who arrived by the name of David was an absolute breath of fresh air from the previous plumbers that I had contacted in the past. First and foremost he treated me like a person, he kept me informed about what he was doing as well as his thoughts along the way as to what the issues could be, and he left after completing the job without the need for a follow-up. My favorite quality of David is that he did what no other plumber even suggested -- look underneath the house for a possible issue. Brilliant. This resulted in locating the clogging problem that I was experiencing (a bowing pipe, or as David musingly and accurately said the pipe "had a belly". I felt like my dad was teaching me how to take care of my home which meant the world to me. Thank you so much David! This was my first time using R.J. Tilley Plumbing & Remodeling, Inc. and it will not be my last. Definitely recommend for reliable, quality service. As a tip: take the full day off instead of relying on the window time provided, but overall the quality workmanship and kind technicians are more than enough to make up for the wait. I want to start by saying thank you so much to everyone at R.J Tilley. I’ve had a huge string of bad luck with my home plumbing and it felt like every week I was calling. Everytime I’ve called I’ve always had genuine, professional kind responses to fix the issues that has occurred. I want to thank everyone at R.J Tilley and those who came out to fix the issues with the plumbing at my home. The prices are great, the care they take for your home to rectify the issues are phenomenal. Thank you to Dave, Dave, Cindy, Tony, and Mark. Also want to say a huge thank you to the President of the company Steven. When I had no way to turn off the waters main at the street, he came out his way to help me find another way to turn the water off. I had the fire department with about 8 guys who came to try and turn the water off and we was unable but Steven came out to help me find another main in the home and was successful. Any issues that wasn’t fixed was promptly fixed. Thank you to everyone and thank you Steven for being so high up but so down to earth and caring for your customers/employees. Will always use you guys in the future ( god forbid anytime soon for any issues at the home ) but you are my first call. Thank you all again.

Had an emergency clog on Friday. Decided to hire this company to fix the issue on Sat. David returned calls promt. When he arrived he was professional, easy going, down to earth guy that tried his hardest to correct the issue we had. We have an extremely small crawl space and David made his way thru it and came back out extremely dirty. When the clog wasn't fixed after numerous attempts he tried something different. Eventually the clog was fixed in a timely manner. David gets 5 stars and r j tilley has a repeat customer now solely because of David's work ethic. The answering service people were just a typical call service. They took my info and forwarded it along to David. Payment was easy.
